XP SP2 stalls at starting gate | The Register
more of M$ at its best... and if there was a real alternative to M$ it would have already jumped on it. I really like Linux (Knoppox to be exact) but it just not as hardware friendly and globally accepted yet...

Penguin and the great katie.com hijack | The Register
This is unbelievable!!! Penguin needs to take care of this NOW!!! The giant steps on the little little guy. Then asks the little guy to give him money. Katie Tarbox, you should be ashamed, and Penguin should be shutdown. Just because you are large, doesn't make eveything you do right.

A Laughing Place message-board poster ran into Marty Sklar, the head of Disney Imagineering, at Disneyland's Tiki Room, and had a conversation about the upcoming Tiki Room refurb:We talked briefly about The Tiki Room, about John Hench and Rolly Crump, and he confirmed the rehab, the roof being in particularly bad shape, and that the birds need a pretty extensive rehab.Link (via The Disney Blog)'They used to bring the birds up to Imagineering and we'd refurbish them. Now, they do them here, and not often enough,' he said.
The Cast Member who introduced the show did an excellent job, she just did the spiel with enthusiasm and professionalism.
As we were walking out, I walked past Marty Sklar and he said 'It's still a good show isn't it?'

While I do not have to worry about this on a daily basis, my Brother-in-law works in Broollyn and will be affect the most by this. Already some bridges and tunnels have had restriction put on them to dis-allow truck traffic and this is overloading the other paths into NYC as a result. The delays where building as the morning went on. By 7:30 AM there was a minimum of 30 mins on the GWB (George Washington Bridge for those of you not in the area). The Holland tunnel was shutdown to truck traffic as was the Williamsburg Bridge. These are the east and west entrances to the lower section of NYC, which is the Wall Street (stock martket) arera. I suspect that the Brooklyn bridge and the Battery Tunnel will soon also be limited more (both do not expect truck traffic now). Also the Port Authority-Wall Street...
