Boardwalk -just before the opening

The rides are being painted and oiled for the openning. Soon the roller coaster will be full of screaming people and empty wallets. The smells of pizza, clams, and funnel cakes will fill the air.

Wildwood retro

Even the Wawa has gotten into it, using the deep green instead of the usual bright red.

retro motel

This is classic 50's or early 60's. notice the sign and the spiral ramp up to the lounge on the second floor overlooking the pool.

Going Retro

It's kind of interesting that Wildwood has made an effort to stay in the past, and requires all signage to stay retro/ This ia an example of a retro Subway sign

I Survived!

okay it's been 3 days since surgery and all went well.  Everything went as scheduled and I got to come home the same day. So far the pain has been lite with the exception of Thursday night.  The cramps in my shoulders got pretty bad, but my wife suggested a massage and a heating pad and by morning I was fine.  I am just going crazy from having to sit/lay around and do nothing.  Seeing my wife doing everything for me is driving me nuts.  And she does get on me if I try to help.  I am to be a "good boy and rest up". So I have sat at my computers and cleaned them up, re-organized my files and defragged them. I ran backups of everything and started working no an intranet website for the house. Sim and I also exchanged anniversary gifts early. She gave me a beautiful gator mouth briefcase and I got her an iPod touch.  I have enjoyed my iPod that she got me last year, so I thought I would return the favor.  She also needed something that would replace her old PDA.  So the touch was the perfect combination.  So I have watched everything on my DVR, and computer and netflix that is even slightly interesting.  The downside to the Vicodin is that it does not make me sleeply.  I thought that I would as least be sleeping through most of the bad TV time.

I survived the surgery, but may not survive the recovery...
