Nationwide BlackBerry Network Failure Impacts Public Safety Communications and Paralyzing Millions of Individual Users

"A
service interruption occurred Tuesday night that affected BlackBerry in
North America," according to a statement from RIM (Research In Motion)


Some users may not be aware that their devices are not working.



Users should check their devices to make see if their service is functioning.


People sending messages to these devices may not be able to communicate with the recipient.


Problems may still persist among many users.


The BlackBerry service experienced a widespread outage in U. S.


The
outage has not only affected individual users but also affected public
safety communications throughout the country including police, fire and
Homeland Security users who use the network.


The root cause is currently undetermined. Delays may still persist in using the BlackBerry system.


A recorded message is all the information that is available with no time frame given for complete resolution to the problem.
