A WINTER STORM WARNING CONTINUES FOR THUR INTO THUR NIGHT
FOR 4 TO 9 INCHES OF SNOW.

THE NATL WEATHER SVC HAS CONTINUED A WINTER STORM WARNING
FOR DE, NORTHEASTERN MD, S. & CNTL NEW
JERSEY, & SOUTHEASTERN PA. SNOW DEVELOPING AROUND OR
SHORTLY AFTER SUNRISE THUR OVER S. DE & THE
NORTHEAST MD SHORE WILL SPREAD NORTHEASTWARD DURING THUR
MORNING.

THE WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES.

IN PA, PHILADELPHIA, DE, CHESTER, MONTGOMERY, &
BUCKS.

IN NJ, MERCER, MONMOUTH, OCEAN, BURLINGTON, CAMDEN,
GLOUCESTER, SALEM, ATLANTIC, CUMBERLAND, & CAPE MAY.

IN DE, NEW CASTLE, KENT, & SUSSEX.

IN NORTHEASTERN MD, CECIL, KENT, QUEEN ANNE'S, CAROLINE, &
TALBOT.

TRAVEL IS LIKELY TO DETERIORATE RAPIDLY DURING THE MORNING RUSH HOUR
FOR PARTS OF NORTHEASTERN MD & S. DE. AS SNOW
MOVES NORTHEAST, DETERIORATING TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL FOLLOW BY MID
TO LATE MORNING FOR FAR NORTHEASTERN MD, N. DE,
THE REST OF EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN PA, & S. &
CNTL NJ. 3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW WILL LIKELY ACCUMULATE IN
THE WARNING AREA BY DARK THURSDAY.& DRIVING CONDITIONS WILL
REMAIN DEGRADED FOR THE THUR EVENING COMMUTE. A TOTAL OF 4 TO 9
INCHES OF SNOW IS FORECAST BY THE TIME THE STORM EXITS LATE THUR
EVENING OR AFTER MIDNIGHT.

SOME SLEET MAY MIX IN AT TIMES OVER S. DE & FAR
SOUTHEASTERN NJ ESPECIALLY RIGHT ALONG THE COAST.

CONSIDER DELAYING TRAVEL THUR & THUR NIGHT UNLESS IT IS
NECESSARY. IF YOU MUST DRIVE THUR OR THUR NIGHT, LEAVE
EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.

A WINTER STORM WARNING IS ISSUED WHEN SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS EXPECT
ED TO OCCUR. HEAVY SNOW AND/OR ICE ARE FORECAST TO ACCUMULATE IN THE
AFFECTED AREAS CAUSING HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. THOSE WITH
TRAVEL PLANS IN THE WARNING AREA ARE ADVISED TO CHOOSE AN ALTERNATE
ROUTE, OR SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION IF TRAVEL IS UNAVOIDABLE.

INTO THUR NIGHT.

THE SNOW ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES.

IN PA, CARBON, MONROE, BERKS, LEHIGH, & NORTHAMPTON.

IN NJ, SUSSEX, WARREN, MORRIS, HUNTERDON, SOMERSET, &
MIDDLESEX.

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO COMMENCE FROM LATE MORNING THROUGH EARLY
AFTERNOON & CONTINUE INTO THUR NIGHT. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
ARE FORECAST TO BE 2 TO 4 INCHES.WITH THE HIGHER ACCUMULATIONS
LIKELY TO BE OVER S. PORTIONS OF THE ADVISORY AREA, NAMELY
THROUGH BERKS COUNTY & THE LEHIGH VALLEY IN PA & THE
RARITAN VALLEY IN NJ.

TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL WORSEN RAPIDLY THUR AFTERNOON AS SNOW
ACCUMULATES AN INCH OR TWO BY DARK.& WILL REMAIN DEGRADED FOR
THE THUR EVENING COMMUTE. IF YOU MUST DRIVE LATER THURSDAY,
LEAVE EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.

A SNOW ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP, BUT
ONLY ENOUGH TO CAUSE MINOR INCONVENIENCES SUCH AS TRAVEL DELAYS. NO
SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
